Another specially commissioned project.  This one started the way most do, with a question.  “Can you make something like……?”  The skull clock is a 3D clock that has a raised cutout, countersunk skulls and is recessed in a 13.5 inch clock face.  This is not actually the correct cutout for this clock face, it is too thick.

The clock itself is offset from the center, which allowed the freedom of installing some additional details.  The 12, 3, 6 and 9 placeholders are mini skulls recessed into small pockets in the clock face.  There is a combination of spray painting, hand painting and air brushing.  There are crisp lines on the skull and the purple haze halo is a couple different colors of purple layered.

If you note the reflection in the surface you can see there is smooth glossy coat.  And everything but the clock spindle and hands is buried under the glaze.  Due to an agreement with my customer, this exact clock is a one of kind and will not be duplicated in every detail for future orders.
