These are custom engraved and burned name plaques to hang in front of your house or by your front door, or where ever you like. I was trying a different approach to making a sign like this. I wanted to try and do something different than the usual V-groove filled with black paint. So, I traced the letters on the wood and did the engraving with a router, free hand. But the letters did need an accent, so I decided to burn them with a micro torch. The result is very nice because the letters have light and dark outlines depending on your point of view.

These plaques have the first coats of urethane applied. Another addition made was acknowledging the start of each part of the family with the “Est. 1987” dates.
These are made from pine. Hand engraved and burned. Mounting of style of your choice (hooks in the top edge or keyholes on the back). The edges have a decorative edge routing. The finish is an outdoor, UV resistant urethane applied in multiple coats.
The smaller plaques are 14.5″ x 7″ and the letters are approximately 2 inches tall.
